2016 marks the Vasculitis Foundation’s 30th anniversary. As board president and a vasculitis survivor, I’d like to take the time to share a few thoughts with you.
When I was diagnosed in 2011, the first place I turned for information was the Vasculitis Foundation. From that moment to today, I could not be more impressed and thankful for the doctors, employees, board and fellow vasculitis survivors who are part of the Vasculitis Foundation. Whether you’re newly diagnosed, currently not flaring or having a recurrence, know that the Vasculitis Foundation is here to help you and your support group.
None of us chose this path. But we all chose to help ourselves, help others and help find better treatments toward a cure. The Vasculitis Foundation has funded over $2 million in vasculitis research to help us all. In addition to research, the Foundation has sponsored fellowships to create more vasculitis-specific doctors and is currently exploring how to create more centers to continually increase local care and treatments. Thank you to all who have contributed time, money and yourself to the mission.
Last, we will recognize the 30-year anniversary through the end of the year. Please visit our
